I try to start photography business?
not very professional portfolio, but I'm working on it. What you think of the pictures I have been so far? mariemyersphoto.blogspot.com / I know that the free blogs are great for photography, but I am still working on things, and that's what I can afford now. Also, if anyone knows a good photo blog site (free or otherwise) that would be great. I'm planing on upgrading when I get it, what will be a little better. We were careful to college. Although I think that the train tracks are exaggerated. I only had like ten minutes to get these pictures and it was the best place.
I think you have a good eye, but should be seen its composition (especially the cutting of the body) and editing. I'm from Utah, as well as the whole oval and square vignettes, which are so popular, there are very ugly in my opinion. But never mind I'm in your photo, because you just that one photo. I know people who do the same vignette on each photo, and it just looks so damn cheap. Blogspots are very popular for photographers in Utah, I would worry too much about it yet. I'd be more worried about obtaining a license, etc. Utah State Tax Commission is really cracking down the photographers who do not have a license and paying taxes. Regarding the websites / blogs, check out bludomain. They have a Web site designs as low as $ 50 (very plain) to $ 400 (highly decorated and other functions). But then you have to pay for hosting, and I think that's about $ 10 per month which is quite standard. I am in the process of starting a business, and in Salt Lake City, but not officially "open", because I am not licensed. I will be applying for a license after the new year, I just want to get everything organized and a business plan before I but also throw in your blog is cute, hot pink, a little distracting while trying to look at pictures.
